A monthly script table read and networking series
Script Live London is a monthly event series that brings writers, actors and industry professionals together to hear new scripts performed in an open table read setting, offer constructive feedback in the room and connect with one another.
Our intention is to build Script Live London into an industry-leading incubator and source of new talent - sought out and attended by leading industry figures looking to discover the next generation of writers and performers. Live and in person.
Writers - hear your work performed by professional actors, in front of an audience of industry professionals and get real, constructive feedback in the room.
Actors - perform new material in front of writers, directors, producers and casting professionals. A high-visibility way to be seen, build relationships and keep your craft sharp.
Everyone else - discover new scripts and talent first. See work at its earliest stage, meet the writers and actors behind it and build relationships with the next wave of emerging creatives - all in one evening.
Each event features two new scripts, capped at 30 pages each. Script entry is free and chosen from open submission. Scripts can be film, TV or theatre and be either full works or excerpts.
Actors are cast per script from our reader pool. Feedback is hosted, constructive and capped at 20 minutes per read.
Doors open half an hour before the first read. Networking after the read is open-ended and informal.
Script Live London is founded and curated by Max Evans, a London-based writer-director and co-creator of the BAFTA winning BBC/A24 show Dreaming Whilst Black.
